1. What does the Mileage Warranty cover?
The Continental brand tires listed on continentaltires.com (U.S.) or continentaltires.ca (Canada) are warranted against wearout up to the mileage indicated for each tire line. “Wearout” means the tread has worn evenly down to the tread wear indicators (2/32 in. or 1.6 mm remaining). Actual mileage may vary based on driving habits, vehicle type, and road conditions.
Important: This warranty does not apply to Original Equipment (OE) tires installed on new vehicles.
2. How does pro-rata replacement work?
If a tire wears out before its stated mileage, Continental will replace it on a pro-rata basis. Pro-rata means the replacement cost is calculated based on the percentage of mileage actually received compared to the warranty mileage.
Example:
Tire Mileage Warranty: 60,000 miles
Mileage received: 45,000 miles
Cost of replacement tire: $130.02
Calculation:
45,000 ÷ 60,000 = 75%
75% × $130.02 = $97.52 (your cost)
Credit toward next purchase: $130.02 − $97.52 = $32.50
You pay the pro-rata cost plus taxes, shipping, mounting, balancing, and any disposal or service fees.
3. What proof is required to make a claim?

Completed and up-to-date Rotation Schedule from the Total Confidence Plan
Tire(s) with tread worn to 2/32 in. (1.6 mm) or the tread wear indicators
If no purchase receipt is available, the DOT tire manufacture date may be used.
4. Conditions and exclusions
Tires must be rotated every 6,000–8,000 miles (10–13,000 km) or sooner if uneven wear appears
Staggered/split fitment tires cannot be rotated front to rear. Rear axle tires on these vehicles receive 50% of the standard Mileage Warranty
Tires in service longer than 72 months are not covered
Original Equipment (New Car tires) are excluded

*At the time of making the claim, the owner is required to present the tires and original tire proof-of-purchase showing date of purchase. If satisfactory proof-of-purchase date is not provided, the DOT (Tire Identification Number) date of manufacture will be used.
**A “comparable” new Continental brand tire may be of either the same tire line or equivalent construction but with a different sidewall or tread configuration. The Limited Warranty covers tires of equal or lesser value. If Customer accepts a higher priced tire, Customer is responsible for covering any difference in price.
