How does self supporting runflat tire technology work?
A specially designed reinforced sidewall supports the tire in the event of a puncture and loss of air. This prevents the sidewall from being crushed between the rim and the road, and the tire from slipping off the rim.

How do I drive with self supporting runflat tires?
The technology has no impact on the driving experience or the handling of your car under normal circumstances. You must, however, have a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is recommended.

How should I act after a self supporting runflat tire is punctured?
You can continue driving for 50 miles at a maximum speed of 50 mph after a tire is punctured. It isn‘t necessary to stop for a tire change or call roadside assistance, but you should have the tire checked by a specialist as soon as possible to prevent further damage.

How can I find tires with self supporting runflat technology?
The technology was developed especially for low section tires, which are compatible with all standard rims. They are mounted, changed and used like any standard equipment tires.
